Tagore Baal Niketan Senior Secondary School is a private school founded in 1963 in Karnal, Haryana state, India. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which is the largest educational board in the country, teaching students from Nursery up to the twelfth grade. It is recognized by the Department of Education, Government of Haryana and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Tagore Baal Niketan is a progressive child-centric co-educational school and is named in honour of India's first Nobel laureate - Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. == History == The School was started on August 1, 1963 by the late educationist and visionary Ms. Vimla Raheja in Karnal, Haryana (India). She was an alumnus of the renowned Visva Bharti University, Shantiniketan established by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. The school was started on a small premises with a handful of students and completed its 50 years in August 2013 and celebrated its Golden Jubilee. Motto and Emblem - The School motto is ‘''SATYAM SHIVAM SUNDARAM'' ’- Truth is eternal and beautiful. In Tagore Baal Niketan, the students are taught by precept and example the essence of truth and beauty. They are taught to accept success with humility and defeat without disappointment and that the highest duty in any walk of life is to play the game in the spirit of the game a liberal education in itself. Aim - The aim of this institution is to mould the child into an integrated personality by providing adequate facilities, opportunities and a healthy atmosphere for the proper mental, emotional and physical development of the children entrusted to its care. The School focuses to bring them up free from racial, social and religious prejudices and to train them for responsibility, leadership and to become a good citizen. The School gives importance to the inherent urges of self-expression and takes special care of the psychological and emotional needs of the children by providing a variety of creative activities.
